Research and planning- Evaluation question 6 part 1 What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

This is the Photo shop software that I used to create my full magazine cover page, contents page, double page spread. I first didn't know how to use this but then I got a practise and carried on using it until I finished everything.

This is the I mac computer that I have used for my music magazine, I used this to research different types of magazine for my pop music magazine to use as a guidance. The i mac computer has everything that i used such as the photo shop, i photo, in- design etc.

This is the Flickr website that I have used to do one of my evaluation question which was question 3, this was to talk about which institution might distribute my pop music magazine. But before you do everything you must sign up first with your email and your password.

This is Blogger website that I used to put all the work I have done such as the progression of the pop music magazine, also all my other work like the college magazine and research and plannings for the pop music magazine that I have created.

This is the SLR camera that I have used to take all the photographs of my model for the pop music magazine, I can do the zooming and movement of the camera myself but I can also leave it on auto focus and let it do the job.

This is the Prezi website that I have done for evaluation question 5 talking about how I attracted the target audience. Also for this you would have to sign in with your username and password, then upload all the magazine pages and talk about the layout, text, font styles etc.

This is question four from the evaluation, this is all about the target audience that I have took a shot of. My target audience is female teenagers who are similar to her and like everything of pop, therefore I have dressed her as a pop look a like and wrote everything that she likes.

The role of the magazine distribution
Firstly you need to know who you are targeting and how you will be able to target them, then you need to advertise your magazine with the distributors help to find where you will be able to reach your target audience. The magazine distributor needs to place the magazine in a visible place where it can be accessed by the target audience, then your magazine is marketed into different shops and to be sold for people to buy and read.

I am going to get my magazine distributed by Motto because they distribute it worlwide and they are private as this is the pop magazine distribution company.They could help me to distribute my magazine in different countries, online stores, airport terminals, and superstores in order to attract a wider range of audience and get to the specific target audience. Also this is a wide known company as many people know about it, and this will get more people to buy my magazine. a pop magazine costs at least £2.20 to distribute. Some of the magazines that get distributed this way are the Top of the pops magazine, Top gear, Radio times. Moreover, it has a circulation of 105025.

Some shops that will take pop magazines are:

• Newsagents
• Morrisons
• Asda
• Supermarkets

Research and planning- Evaluation question 2 How does your media product represent particular social groups?

• From this magazine I think the posture is quite similar as I have this magazine as a guidance, the fact that this is a mid shot, I have also used my model Berlin as a mid shot.
• I have used a mid shot because, if I used a long shot then the image i think will become a bit too small to be able to see the facial expressions.
• The facial expressions are pretty similar but I have just told my model to just add a smile, make herself look like a pop artist, as I have looked at some of the facial expressions of pop artist, they seem to put this smiley face on every cover page.
• The hair style of my model and Britney is very different. Britney's hair is long and blonde whereas my model has short hair and brown..
• The lighting is the same because it is very clear to see, therefore you can see the bright three colour scheme of my magazine, and in Britney's magazine it is the same and the lighting is really good, to use for a magazine.
• The costume of my model is just top and pants as most pop artists use that for their cover page, the colour of her top is one of my colour schemes for the pop music magazine. Britney also wears something poppy and the pop colour type as well which gives an impression that this is a pop music magazine.

Here is  the magazine that I have produced in photo shop.I got feedback to have a guide magazine with me. Therefore, I went on the internet and got a pop magazine cover as a guide so I know what i am doing and what sort of things I can use to help me produce my magazine. From the previous progress that I have done I have totally changed it and designed my own. The guide of the pop magazine helped me a lot as I have used some of the shapes also the word free and developed them a bit.

On this magazine there is one thing that I have copied. The thing that I have copied is the circle shape next to Miley Cyrus. This is her story shape as this is linked to on of her double page spread.

 This is James who I took an photo of because I am going to use him on my magazine front cover, I think this is a really good photo of him, because his facial expressions tell me that he's not a big fan of football. This is a good photo because its bright and can be used in the magazine.

 

This is a good photo of Berlin having an apple, the lighting is bright just the way it should be for a magazine and I have used her as mid shot which she is going to b in the left side page of my magazine.

 

This is another photo that I have took with an SLR camera outside the college as my location is the college, this is a bright photo which is good to be placed in the magazine and this is a long shot of Berlin and is going to be used on the right page on the three pose sections.

 

This is another photo which I will be using in the magazine as Berlin moving with the music section, to make her look like a pop artist.

 

Here is my second pose of Berlin which is going to be in the three section, it is another long shot which reveals all her body, to make her look like a model like a pop artist.

 

This is the front cover photo of Berlin there is an image to go with this mid shot photo which is from the internet, it's Britney spears in the front cover. Just like this I have done Berlin the same but with a different out fit to the other photos.

This is also a long shot photo of Faith another model  on my music magazine, she is used in the contents page, the colour of her top seems to go with the colour scheme of my magazine.

This photo is going to be associated as Meg and Sue in the cover page as they look really good together, the lighting is really bright, which is advantageous for my magazine.

Here are some of the images that I have used in my pop music magazine, some of these are excellent photos which fit in to my magazine and helped me out to be able to finish some of the easier things.

My plan for the week is to:

• Upload my shot list and the shooting schedule
• Start on my pop music magazine double page spread
• Will do my podcast this time 
• Get the model pictures on the cover page and contents page
• Add some finishing touches to the cover and contents page e.g. background and layout designs
• Strengths and weaknesses of some of the model photo's.

Here is my contents page which I have tried to finish off, now all I have to do is add the model pictures and try and do something with the background. My cover page is still the same I just have to add the picture also and the same thing with the background. Lastly I need to start on my double page spread before the deadline.

Contents page-
This is my contents page that I am going to finish off and then add the pictures and start on my double page spread quickly before the dead line, and to help me do this I might stay at lunch times to get it finished to be marked and graded.
